Google Chrome Crashes Due to Shockwave Plugin?
So hopefully most of you out there on Windows machines have installed different web browsers over the default Internet Explorer, if you haven't you should give Firefox or Chrome a try.
I'm mostly a Google Chrome user now for the past few years since it was released and for the most part am satisifed with its functionality and performance. Recently however I have been experiencing crashes and lockups that where caused by the Shockwave Plugin. A little Googling and found a solution that worked for me.
It seems that the conflict is caused by a plugin that is built into Chrome and the standalone Adobe Flash player that is required by web browsers such as Firefox. Chrome then tries to load both version up and causes the crash.
Here is the article over at Techlogon.com that explaines this in more detail and how to go in and fix the issue.
